Comments: In 2003 I retired from the City of Azusa after managing the Senior Center/senior services for 25 years.
From 1995 until now I've been very active in the Azusa Rotary Club - basically held offices of Secretury and President.
Loved the opportunities to attend international conventions in Chicago, Salt Lake City, Osaka Japan and Copenhagen (where
I've stayed with a cousin 3 different times - loved the family connections). For the last 15 years I've also been very
involved with visually impaired and blind older adults and young folks on the autistic spectrum through church. In January
2017 I moved to Katy, TX, only 4 miles from my oldest son and family. I love my new duplex in a senior community, definitely
downsized from my almost 2 acre with barn property in Azusa. Now I can do some new things and not have so much yard/house
to take care of! Best wishes to everyone! I might make it to our September reunion -- still have family in southern
CA.

of service. I have 3 children, all adults now, and 6 grandchildren. I am married to Beverly for 33 years. She
continues to work as a Marriage, Family Therapist. I am a volunteer for the California Highway Patrol and my church.
I enjoy photography, target shooting, camping, traveling and staying in touch with many friends all over the country.
I do a lot of travel by Amtrak and have been around the country twice on the rails. My children and grandchildren
live in Oregon, Thailand, Korea and California. I am in excellent health, exercise daily and put about 1,700 mles a
year on my bicycle. My wife and I are competitive around our physical workouts and stay active at our local gym. Life
is good!

just prior to this reunion. We have two daughters and four granddaughters, all living very close by. One granddaughter
is graduating from high school this year -- 60 years after my graduation from Poly! I am retired, although maintain
various business and Board activities. Enjoy collecting books, researching Long Beach and family history, biking, gardening
and other assorted activities that seem to keep one busier than ever. We travel when possible and in an upcoming trip
we will be focusing on the prehistoric cave art in Spain and France. I maintain my interest in "old cars",
although the oldest in the collection is now 1967 vintage. Occasionally we get back to Long Beach -- always fun to do
to see the familiar but recognize the many changes.

(Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos), I went to law school and became a criminal defense attorney. Eventually, Gov.
Pete Wilson appointed me to the bench. I have been sitting as a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge going on 19 years.
I married a much younger woman so must work until age 120. No children but lots of horses, dogs and one crazy
cat. My professional football career was not a product of the football program at Poly. I have some very close friends
on whom I have not laid eyes since the Long Beach Auditorium celebration. One person I have stayed in contact with is

Ranger CVA61 for 5 years as cook/baker. Then I spent 1 year at Pt. Mugu, CA. After the Navy I went to work at
Safeway for 22 years in Santa Barbara, Ventura, Fillmore, then moved to Lake Tahoe for 5 years (Love the skiing!) and worked
at Safeway in Sparks, NV. From there I went to Las Vegas for 25 years and worked at US Foods for 18 years. My
wife, Christine, worked there also for 18 years until she passed away. Since retiring, I buy old cars, fix them up and
sell them. I will return to drag racing in May 2015 with my '67 Chevelle 427 Engine, 425 hp, 4 speed. Wow, at
75 years old I am having fun and enjoying my life. I will stay a widower -- too much time spent on cars -- fixing a
1932 five wind coupe for my son, Matt.

Barbara, Atlanta and North Georgia. Now in San Diego. Living in a 55+ complex where I work and thinking of retiring.
I say it every year but think I might do it this time. Don is retired and is writing two more books. Life is good!

Update - My wife who has dementia is now in a nursing home in Grand Rapids, MI, for more than a year. We had to divorce
so she could get Medicaid. I cannot attend the reunion unless I get a driver because I have health issues. I will

At Poly I was a writer and cartoonist for the High Life. I received graduate degrees in English from CSULB, USC and
UCR. I am married to Joyce (Strait), Poly '61, with one son, Greg, who is also a writer. I taught literature and
creative writing for 30 years at Barstow College. Since retirement I have published nine novels; the best known is "Barstow
Bones" (historical suspense). Most recent is "The Young Comedians" which takes place at Hughes Junior
High and LB Poly High in 1959. In late August, the second in the Poly High series, "Jack in Love" (a Poly-Wilson
love story), will be published. My books are available at the Long Beach Public Library as well as on Amazon.
A multi-media presentation will be held at the El Dorado branch of the Long Beach Public Library in October.
